Program Manager Role:
We are looking for a confident, highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented project manager to support us on IWSR’s strategic new Forecasting product, as well as wider data and market research projects. The successful candidate will work closely with cross functional stakeholders across the business on driving forward multiple data and research projects.
This role will report to the Head of Research Operations.
Specific responsibilities:
Forecasting
- Maintaining, developing and tracking forecast production schedules.
- Liaising between forecast data scientists and economists and subject and market data experts to ensure efficient and smooth communication and production of forecast data.
- Ongoing product development planning support & tracking, both client facing and internal.
- Operational support for Forecast team – tracking progress against target and directing prioritisation of focus.
Project Management across the Research Function
- Monitoring and tracking of data and market research products across the research function, with the aim to ensure that BAU as well as innovation products are delivered to agreed timelines and to the highest level of accuracy and quality.
- Partnering with the relevant Product / Project Leads to define scope, key milestones, deliverables, KPIs, and risks. Working with them to maintain momentum and movement across the delivery phases.
- Regularly reviewing and reporting on status across projects to identify divergence from plan / risks as early as possible.
- Documenting and tracking of key milestones within project delivery.
- Working with cross functional stakeholders to manage expectations, communications, and smooth processes.
Required skills and experience
Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all including senior levels.
- Proven ability to lead cross functional teams and drive project success collaboratively.
- Strong interpersonal skills – able to align stakeholders within the project plan and drive accountability over milestones to support successful delivery.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise effectively.
- Inquisitive and adept at problem solving – able to identify the causes for blockers and determine plans to counter.
- Confident managing and adapting to evolving priorities.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience, ideally in a data / technology / product development environment.
- Experience of proactively taking ownership of project planning, working with other internal teams from requirements definition through to initial support post-handover to BAU.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Proficiency with project management tools.
