Role Overview:
Our Consumer Data team runs one of the most ambitious consumer research programmes in the drinks industry, over 250,000 interviews across 34 markets in 2025 alone. As a Senior Research Analyst, you’ll be a core part of delivering that programme: owning end-to-end quantitative research workflows, maintaining data quality at scale, and contributing to some of IWSR’s most high-profile products, including Bevtrac.
This isn’t a passive support role. You’ll work directly with panel providers, manage complex datasets, shape questionnaire design, and collaborate across research cycles, all while contributing to how we improve and innovate the way we collect and deliver consumer insights.
One thing worth noting: this role sits within the data delivery side of the business. Our team produces the analytical output, Excel data tables, databases and dashboards, which is then handed to other departments for insight reporting and charting. If you’re looking for a role that takes data all the way through to client-facing storytelling, this isn’t it. If you love the rigour of getting the data right, it very much is.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Own quantitative research delivery: survey programming (Forsta/Decipher), fieldwork coordination, sampling, weighting, quota design and data quality control.
• Build and maintain research deliverables, Excel tables, databases and dashboards and quality-check complex datasets for accuracy and robustness.
• Manage questionnaire consistency across products and markets, ensuring methodological alignment over time.
• Play a key role in Bevtrac delivery during critical project phases.
• Liaise directly with external panel providers, handling fieldwork oversight and issue resolution.
• Conduct desk research to contextualise quantitative findings.
• Drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability and quality across the Consumer Data team.
• Contribute to monthly innovation sessions exploring automation, AI tools and smarter ways of working.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Essential
• Solid experience in quantitative market or consumer research, especially large-scale survey-based projects.
• Hands-on experience managing panel providers, fieldwork oversight, survey management, issue resolution.
• Strong grasp of sampling methodology, weighting and data quality control.
• Proficiency in Forsta Surveys (Decipher) or equivalent survey programming platform.
• Proficiency in SPSS, Q Research or equivalent tabulation software.
• Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, large datasets).
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines without dropping the ball.
• Clear, confident communicator with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Nice to Have
• MRS UK certification (Basic or Advanced).
• Exposure to Python, VBA or other automation/scripting tools.
• Experience in global or multi-market research environments.
• Familiarity with dashboards or structured data delivery formats.
• SQL knowledge for data querying and validation.
• A genuine interest in AI tools and automation (we run monthly innovation sessions as a team).
Above all, we’re looking for someone who brings energy and enthusiasm to the team. The Consumer Data team is close-knit and collaborative, the right attitude goes a long way.
